Visit participating stores for complimentary tastings, pairing ideas, and expert tips from your local mongers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-makes-prosciutto-di-parma-special\"><strong>What Makes Prosciutto di Parma Special?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Prosciutto di Parma isn\u2019t just any cured ham\u2014it\u2019s a <em>Protected Designation of Origin (PDO)<\/em> product, crafted in the rolling hills south of Parma, Italy. Every ham is made with only two ingredients: the hind legs of specially bred Italian pigs and sea salt. It is a 100% natural product, with no additives, no nitrates, no preservatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hams cure for <strong>a minimum of 400 days<\/strong>, during which they slowly lose moisture and develop their signature sweetness.
